Joann Chittick

Joanne paints primarily landscape and architecture, giving her unique personal interpretation of a subject that speaks to her.  Her favorite way of working is within the landscape, en plein air.  She paints in both watercolor and oil. Joanne love the luminous quality of watercolors, as well as the freshness and clarity of this medium.  In her oil paintings, many of which are done on treated watercolor paper, she aims for economy of composition, capturing the essentials of the subject and using quick, sure brush strokes to create shapes and textures.
